From Trello to custom platform for project management and SHA plans

• The goal was to develop a kanban board structure to manage orders and projects internally for Viken Fiber and its contractors, eliminating the reliance on emails for communication and status updates.

• During development of their custom solution - another requirement faced Viken Fiber, regarding the integration of an advanced Health and Safety plan (SHA) for their contractors - which affected all customer segments.

• When the cost of off-the-shelf software that didn't entirely fit their requirements was explored, they decided to customize and incorporate a SHA plan into their Appfarm solution.

• More rapid development meant they could ensure all assignments regarding their SHA component included all customer segments, and could also be performed within the system that was built to replace Trello for their corporate customers.
